The concept of BIM or Graphisoft's Virtual Building ™ covers the entire process of design and management of all information throughout the lifecycle of the building. Not only is a simple 3D model in a computer, the Virtual Building also contains very detailed information on building materials and their characteristics. It is a three-dimensional database that tracks all elements of the building. This information can include surface area and volume, thermal properties, descriptions of rooms, prices, information on product specifications, windows, doors and finishes, and more.
